MAYAKA RIVER STATE PARK

For years, Mayaka River State Park has always been our favorite rest stop after a long drive from Toronto. A place where we camp and and get acclimatized while enjoying the diverse natural surroundings of  wetlands, prairie, pine flat woods and hammock. We have hiked all the nature trails before. It is a great place for observing wildlife like birds, deer, wild  boars and turkeys. One of the most fascinating sights is along the wildlife drive. It is an on going change of palm trees and mahogany trees covered with Spanish moss.

In the evening and early morning hours, one can hear the whisper of the wind and twittering of birds.

After couple of days of great weather adaptation and rest, our group was ready to continue our journey.  The adventure, to photograph wildlife in other nature parks.
