NORMAN PILUKE
Norman Piluke, a largely self-taught photographer was born in Toronto, Canada. The combination of his artistic talent and technical knowledge contributed to his success in photography. Norman by trade was a Sheet Metal Contractor and for years he managed a successful business.
In 1980, photography was a serious hobby. It became full time and the Norman Piluke Photo Gallery and a private darkroom lab in Toronto was established. He has traveled extensively with his wife, Joanie Piluke across Canada and internationally. The subjects he captured seemed as limitless as his talent using all systems from 35 mm SLR to large format view film cameras. His portfolio encompassed a wide range subjects including aerial, nature, nautical and travel photography both color and black and white. In this short period, he became a published photographer in North America and internationally.
The quality and technical marvel of Norman's photographs were produced for twenty years in his darkroom lab using 5 enlargers and a 42" Kreonite processor . He was devoted to traditional darkroom printing, and mastered it completely, creating photographic art, from format size to murals. Every image that he produced was achieved with great color, detail and sharpness.
By year 2000, Norman jump into digital photography after a six year self study in Adobe Photoshop. He was one of the first professional photographers who switched over totally to digital photography including digital fine art printing. He uses the latest professional DSLR Canon cameras and large format Fine Art Epson printers.
